Todos Santos Film Festival – Festival de Cine

The 9th edition of the Todos Santos film festival is about to begin at the Teatro Marquez de León. The festival will take place both in Todos Santos from February 23rd through the 27th and in La Paz from February 28th through March 3rd.

The most talented and innovative Latin American independent movie makers will share their work in the intimate setting of the beautiful Teatro Marquez de León in Todos Santos. Over 20 movies, documentaries and shorts from Mexico, Spain Cuba, Chile and Argentina will be screened during the 5 days of the festival. As a great addition to these movies, over 70 young students from Todos Santos and Pescadero who participated in the ‘Youth in Video’ workshops, will present their documentary “7 Voices, 7 Questions, 7 Days” on the opening day of the festival. To raise funds for the next ‘Youth in Video’ program everyone is invited to attend the event “Hollywood in Todos Santos” at Hotel California on Sunday February 26th. The Academy Awards will be shown on four large screens, in addition to music and appetizers,the entertainment for the evening includes a prize for the best Hollywood themed costume, a Predict the Oscar Winners game and a 50/50 raffle. Ticket presale starts February 1st at El Tecolote bookstore in Todos Santos. The suggested donation is 50 pesos. Those with tickets arriving 20 minutes before start time will have their choice of the first seats. After that, it is open Festival seating.
