Fiestas de la Vendimia

Fiestas de la Vendimia are a series of annual events celebrating the grape harvest in Baja California’s wine country, Valle de Guadalupe, near Ensenada. The 2014 festival stretches from August 1-17, and features banquets, concerts and tastings along the Ruta del Vino, with additional events to take place in Rosarito, Tijuana, Tecate, and Mexicali.

The yearly fiestas are organized by Provino, a committee dedicated to promoting the region’s wines, and will once again conclude with the highly anticipated Concurso de Paellas at Viñas de Liceaga.  Last year’s Paella Contest drew over 5,000 guests for food, wine, and live music. This year’s rice-filled festival finale starts at noon on August  17, 2014. For tickets or additional information, call (664) 688-1080.

The official dates for these events have been announced. The Fiestas de la Vendimia, or Harvest Festival,  will take place in Valle de Guadalupe and neighboring areas from August 1-17, 2014. However, event dates and schedules are subject to sudden change and cancellation. Please confirm with the event organizer before booking your trip.
