51st Annual SCORE Baja 1000

Without doubt, the Baja California peninsula’s most iconic annual event is the Baja 1000, a high-octane, high-adrenaline off-road challenge for motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs and other four-wheel vehicles that unfolds over 1,000 miles of rugged terrain. When the event premiered in 1967 – as a race from Tijuana to La Paz – it was under the auspices of the National Off-Road Racing Association. Following the OPEC Oil Crisis in 1973, there was a change in organizers, and since 1975 the Baja 1000 has been run under the SCORE banner. Last year marked the 50th anniversary of the legendary event, and as a nod to tradition, the race utilized its most traditional start and finish spots, running a 1200-mile point-to-point course from Ensenada to La Paz. This year sees the return of a loop format, with the start and finish in Ensenada.

The official dates for this event have been announced. The 51st SCORE Baja 1000 is scheduled for November 14 – 18, 2018. However, event dates and schedules are subject to sudden change and cancellation. Please confirm with the event organizer before booking your trip.
