Casual Beachfront Dining in Cabo – Hacienda Cocina y Cantina

Casual Beachfront Dining in Cabo San Lucas

Hacienda Cocina y Cantina Restaurant

Hacienda Cocina y Cantina marries traditional Mexican architecture with casual beachfront dining for an elegant but laid back experience. Perched on the most beautiful quarter mile of  Medano beach, overlooking the iconic rock formations of Land’s End, Hacienda Cocina y Cantina features open-air indoor dining, outdoor dining on the terraza, a beachfront palapa bar and the ever popular “tables in the sand”. Our menu showcases the different regions and flavors of Mexico through expertly crafted authentic dishes using only the finest local ingredients.

In Mexico, the word “casero” means “homemade,” the type of food that is served in households all over Mexico, dishes that nourish the body and feed the soul. This is the style of cooking that best represents Hacienda Cocina y Cantina. With a menu created by famed Chef Andrea Blanco and the kitchen helmed by the talented Executive Chef Octavio Hernandez, Hacienda Cocina y Cantina features Mexican specialties from the Oaxaca, Puebla, Guerrero and Veracruz regions. Hacienda uses locally and regionally grown produce that Executive Chef Hernandez personally selects in order to feature the highest-quality ingredients.

Local, laid-back and authentic. These words describe Hacienda. We stay true to our culinary roots and allow the food to speak for itself. We embrace our incredible coastal waters and take advantage of all of our fresh fish and seafood. We will even prepare our guests’ catch! For those who’ve enjoyed a successful day of sport fishing, we can prepare the catch as an entree or as ceviche or sashimi appetizer!

Our stretch of El Medano Beach – the most popular beach in Cabo San Lucas – is very quiet and secluded (no water sports, vendors or crowds), ensuring privacy for our guests. Another benefit of our location is our amazing views of the iconic Land’s End, Lover’s Beach, magnificent rock formations and of course, the Sea of Cortez. Visitors come from far and wide to see these amazing landmarks. Our restaurant features a variety of seating areas, including our new palapa beach dining.

True, the menu is daunting -- it seems to cover so many regions of Mexico. And that's what I like about it! I am a big fan of Oaxacan flavors, so the queso fundido sandwich is a winner, in my book. But the ceviche, representing coastal cuisine is also outstanding. I can't speak to everything on this menu, but I can imagine a whole afternoon lounging by the azure waters and ordering plate after plate of starters...ah, to be in Baja.
