The Baja event spotlight shines on Los Cabos in June, with no less than four of the region’s signature events held in San Jose del Cabo alone:  the 5th edition of the Los Cabos Open of Surf, one of two professional surf tournaments held annually on the Baja California peninsula; the 21st annual Stars & Stripes Tournament, a golf and fishing extravaganza that also raises enormous sums of money for charitable causes; the 9th staging of the Fiesta de la Musica, a local version of the international holiday that brings live music to multiple outdoor venues in the downtown area; and the final month of Art Walk, a popular festivity that spotlights gallery culture in the city’s historic Distrito del Arte

Off-road racing fans, meanwhile, can look forward to the 49th running of the Baja 500, one of four SCORE sponsored events held annually on the peninsula. The rugged 515-mile loop race starts and finishes in Ensenada.
