Surfing Punta Abreojos, Baja
Punta Abreojos is a legendary right reef break. Punta Abreojos is a perfect right that peels for 300 yard long rides. Offshore winds blast the waves and the water is warm here, about 10 degree warmer than San Diego. Punta Abreojos breaks face east, so the wind turns offshore in the afternoon, much like Isla Natividad. There are some beach breaks in Punta Abreojos, but nobody surfs them, not when there are perfect point breaks to be surfed. Be aware of rocks on the inside. The local fisherman will trade or sell you fresh fish. Down the road a little south near the lighthouse you can find an amazing break called Razors. Razors is a very racy hallow right point break.
