Owner Sergio Rivera is pleased and excited to announce a new Argentina Style Steakhouse.  Executive Chef Marcos from Mexico City has joined the team

La Casita Opened in November 2010 and it has quickly become a favorite among locals and tourists alike. Chef Sergio Rivera has combined his love of travel with his passion for fine cuisine and created an international Mexican Fusion menu that will tantalize your taste buds.

Sergio serious love affair with fresh organic food and his passion to prepare only the freshest ingredients will wow your taste buds and spoil you forever!

Chef Sergio has created 3 different restaurants within one unique dining experience.

There’s always something new to try depending on the fresh catch of the day and what’s available from Sergio’s own organic farm or the local organic farmers.

Can’t decide what to order?  Tell your server you want to go “Freestyle”. Sergio will decide for you and bring out the most amazing dishes. This works especially well for groups of four or more who want to share plates.

If you want, he will even pair your meal with one of their many fine wines or the House Sangria (a secret family recipe) that many folks want to buy a bottle or two to take home.

In addition to Tapas, La Casita is now serving daily specials that have been a big hit. The warm atmosphere, friendly service and reasonable prices make La Casita a destination restaurant.

Argentina Steak House – La Casita is proud to announce the newest member of Sergio’s culinary team Chef Marcos from Mexico City, he has been one of the top Chef for years show casing his vast culinary talents preparing the best in Argentina style meats prepared just to your liking. The way he grills steaks, ribs, sausages and other special cuts of meats will make this your new favorite place in town.

Tweaking Mexican Classics in Todos Santos

We were all aching for pure Mexican food after several solid but unspectacular, globally inspired meals, and based on the premise of La Casita, we were expecting more of the same, but Mazatlan native Sergio Rivera, who traveled the world as a yacht-based private chef, won us over with his treatment of Mexican classics. He spent hours in the open kitchen and started by packing enchiladas with plump shrimp, scallops and sea bass, presented smoked marlin rellenos two ways, and even set our third course on fire, igniting Cointreau, tequila and Grand Marnier soak shrimp. I’m not sure if it boosted the flavor or not, but it sure was dramatic. Apparently Rivera didn’t want marlin to carry the day, so he presented pan-fried grouper a whopping three different ways, highlighted by mango ginger jalapeno sauce. The ribeye sported a winning sear, but was cooked well beyond my desired medium rare. Far better was the slow-cooked baby back ribs, lacquered with tangy chipotle raspberry molasses BBQ sauce. None of us claimed room for dessert, but we somehow found the strength to devour rich chocolate truffles, flan and bread pudding.

Unreal food. I keep trying to explain to friends at home that this is not like any Mexican food they can imagine...instead, it's just incredible food with crisp flavours, snapping textures and fabulous combinations that happens to be in Mexico, using locally-sourced and oh-so-fresh Mexican ingredients.

Don't even get me started on the seafood.

Sushi heaven

Wow, we are so lucky to be able to drop in at Sergio's place and get the freshest seafood just caught that day and then he does his magic.

I have traveled all over the world and lived around the ocean in many places and Sergio is doing fantastic job creating sushi and sashimi dishes that will please your taste buds.

In Hawaii we have a saying the " Food was so good it broke da mouth"

He made up some Yelow Fin Tuna rolls with several different toppings and sashimi for me the other night and it was so good I ordered a second round.

Rest with the best

I love Sergios place because I can always just say " You decide" and he will take care of the rest. He has Tapas style plates that are portioned for the # of people at your table and priced accordingly. He let's you taste his wines and then decide which one you want to order. If you have a particular direction or dish you want just throw it out to him and let him create. It is so nice not to have to struggle through a menu and all the choices. I just feel much more stress free when an expert is taking care of it and I can move on to socializing with my friends.

I see he has opened his Sushi Bar and am excited to have that as an option now. I am sure I will see a lot of locals in that informal bar setting. Yiiipppeee!
