We were just in Baja for the first time last month. We were given a few ideas of where to stay and decided on Villa Santa Cruz because of the detailed description here at baja.com. Let me tell you, we were so impressed!! After a bumpy (but fun) dirt road ride, we entered through the gates to find a beautiful villa, surrounded by gardens and agave plants. We were greeted by Matt and Jessica with a large and delicious margarita. They were so kind and warm. Many places may not be so accomodating when you have a 2 year old but they were instant friends! Our room was beautiful. Had everything we needed, especially the view! WOW. This place was amazing! A vast, private beach, a huge salt water pool, rooftop deck and a 'honor system bar'. We had a yummy breakfast every morning and they even helped me book a fab massage (who came to the villa and set up in an empty room...awesome). We really loved our stay and will definitely be back! Thanks to Baja.com for the guidance on our trip and thanks to Matt and Jessica!!! It was fabulous!!!

"It is hard to face our last full day here. The only way I have found to ease the sense of sadness is to start planning our next trip. This trip has been magical, inspirational, comforting, relaxing and amazingly beautiful. Our next trip will undoubtedly be the same. This trip was with great friends, celebrating life and love and connecting as adults, refueling reserves. Next trip will be as a family with our kids. I can already picture the beach combing, the hide-n-seek games among the agave field. The entire day spent in the pool, their laughter. I can hear my son's thousand questions about each and every detail and dog. I can't wait. Matt and Jessica, I feel so blessed and honored to have met you and incredibly fortunate that you have chosen to share your Villa, your dream, your life and pure authenticity with us. You've made an impression, you've injected inspiration. You have given us fodder for many a conversation about what we want from life. You have helped create memories that will last a lifetime and start/establish a foundation for many more to come at your amazing creation, the Villa. "

This what I wrote in the Villa guestbook last week. And the past week back to reality has been rough. I feel I left part of me in Todos at the Villa, I am sure I truly did. The Villa is perfect in every way. The attention to detail is amazing, you find yourself looking in every corner of the estate for new treasures to the eye. The experience is a perfect balance of pampering and authentic culture delivered with a very personal touch that makes you feel at home instantly. Usually when we travel it always takes a day or two for us to really unwind, at Villa Santa Cruz this happened the minute we walked through the door the first time and were greeted with margaritas from Matt and Jessica. Words really don't do this place justice, the pictures look too good to be true, the reality is even better. Just Go. Frauntene, San Diego, CA
