History
Up until a few years ago, the land on which Flora del Mar was built, was part of a chile pepper farm, like much of the surrounding area of Todos Santos, adjacent to the dunes.
Marilyn Martin and long time friend and former husband, Dave Flora, purchased about 3 acres from an Italian entrepreneur. Dave built his retirement home and Marilyn built the B&B. It was completed in 2006, just in time for their daughter, Tannan to have her wedding, there.
Because of the ambience and the setting by the sea, Tannan’s and Matt’s wedding set the stage for more beautiful weddings, along with several vegetarian Yoga retreats, and family reunions.
And now, brand new Flora del Mar is pleased to announce that it is the only B&B or hotel in all of Todos Santos to have a tennis court. You can play tennis and whale watch at the same time!

- Various seating areas provide optimum opportunity for conversation or quiet, peaceful meditation.
- The custom designed pool features a lap current.
- New also are two dance floors and bar, for larger groups.
- A short sandy path leads to the dunes and in front of seemingly endless miles of pristine white sand beach.
- There is also a jogging trail among the cacti.
- There are 4 separate suites, each with a private entrance, bath and deck. All rooms have glorious views of tropical foliage, the nearby orchard, and the ocean beyond.
- Three suites have queen beds, and one has 3 twin beds.
- Also, there is a second floor studio apartment, with a full size built-in bed, along with a loft mattress (ideal for people, 10-25 yrs. old), a complete kitchen, private deck, and again, gorgeous views of the orchard and ocean.
- The rhythm of the waves at night provides a hypnotic backdrop for deep relaxing sleep.
- Just 1 3/4 mi away is the center of Todos Santos, a colorful, friendly pueblo, filled with good restaurants, art galleries and gift shops. After an afternoon in town, most find gentle relief in returning to nature and tranquility of Flora del Mar.
