Whale Watching Charters (December – March)

Humpback and Gray Whales give birth every winter in the lagoons just north of Todos Santos. Mothers and their calves then travel south and can be seen feeding and frolicing amazingly close to shore in Todos Santos as they prepare for their long journey north. Songs of humpbacks can even be heard as they pass below the pangas. These incredible animals have learned that man is no longer their enemy and surface often to show off a new calf.  Sightseers also have the opportunity to see dolphins, sea lions, and sea turtles, manta rays and more.  The launch and return to Punta Lobos is as exciting as the wildlife you’ll see!

Bios

Germán and Francesca opened La Sirena, Todos Santos’ first Eco~Adventure company, in 2003.  Their vision was to offer low-impact activities to tourists while offering alternative jobs to fishermen and other local citizens.  In 2006, La Sirena expanded to include Whale Watching and Sea Turtle conservation activities.  Then, in 2010 Germán and Francesca, along with the Cota family, founded Tortugueros Las Playitas A.C., a non-profit environmental conservation organization.

Today, La Sirena Eco~Adventures has become an International gathering place for people with common values.  Sea Turtle conservation volunteers fill the casitas throughout the nesting and hatching season.  German and Francesca’s guest-list includes tourists from Italy, Spain, Germany, Venezuela, Belize, England, Canada and the United States.

What do all of these folks have in common?  The majority are looking to experience nature, wildlife and recreation, in a beautiful tropical paradise, while promoting a sustenable business and way of life.  La Sirena’s low impact tours now sponsor the Sea Turtle conservation project through use of their ATV, Biologist housing and Volunteer managment.

Germán and Francesca invite you to experience the warmth of Mexican hospitality at La Sirena in Todos Santos.
