Second Baja California Culinary Fest, Tijuana 2013

The Second Baja California Culinary Fest, Tijuana 2013, will focus on the region of Sinaloa.  The fest is open to the general public, cooking students and professionals, and there will be 25 chefs and 2 sommeliers, plus 15 diferent gastronomic activities, cooking contests, conferences, thematic dinners and much more.

Although the official date of the Second Baja California Culinary Fest is on October 18, it will take place in varying locations with 6 different thematic dinners in 6 different restaurants in Tijuana.

The activities during the three days of the event are as follows:

October 24th, Thursday:

  • 10:00-14:00 Gastronomic Contest at Culinary Art School
  • 12:00- 13:00 Conferences “Cerveza Artesanal y Maridaje” at CECUT, general public $150 MXN, students $75 MXN
  • 16:00-17:00 Conferences at CECUT, general public $150 MXN, students $100 MXN
  • 18:00-19:00 Gastronomic Shortcut Sesion  Michael Brass at CECUT, general public $40 MXN, students $20 MXN
  • 19:30 Official Opening

October 25th, Friday:

  • 10:00-14:00 Urban Sea-Food Tour at CECUT as meeting point, general public $250 MXN
  • 11:00-12:30 Demostration Clases at CECUT, general public $150 MXN students $75 MXN
  • 13:00-23:00 Culinary Fest at CECUT, FREE ENTRANCE
  • 15:00-19:00 Urban Taco Tour at CECUT as meeting point, general public $250 MXN
  • 17:00-18:30 Demonstration Clases with Japanesse chef at CECUT, general public $150 MXN, students $75 MXN
  • 19:00-21:00 Gastronomic Shortcut Sesion Gyro Dreams at CECUT, general public $40 MXN, students $20 MXN
  • 20:00 Thematic dinners at 6 diferent local restaurants: Mision 19, Verde y Crema, El Colegio, BCB, Ceasar’s, Caza Club, the prices will be determinated by Restaurant.

October 26th, Saturday:

  • 10:00-11:00 Demostration Clases at CECUT, general public $150 MXN, students $75 MXN
  • 11:00-15:00 Baja Oktobeer Tour at CECUT as meeting point, general public $250 MXN 
  • 12:00-13:00 Conference “Haciendo Vino en las dos Californias” at CECUT, general public $150 MXN, students $75 MXN
  • 19:00-21:00 Gastronomic Shortcut Sesion at CECUT, general public $40 MXN students $20 MXN
  • 13:00-23:00 Culinary Fest at CECUT, FREE ENTRANCE
  • Closing with a great concert

October 27th, Sunday:

  • 13:00-21:00 Picnic with the organizers, staff, sponsonrs, special guests, conferencists, chefs and Official Closing

The official date for this event has been announced. The Second Baja California Culinary Fest, Tijuana 2013, will take place on October 24th thru October 26th, 2013.
