How to choose the right kind of accommodations for your San Quintín visit.
Understanding the lay of the land is key to identifying where you might want to stay while visiting the San QuintÍn area. It is a good idea to look at a map, and have an idea of what your goals are. For instance, if you are simply traveling through the town on your way to the north or south, you might want to stay at one of the newer hotels on the highway (Highway 1). However, if you plan to get to know San Quintín, there are other choices – some on the beach, so on estuaries, and some with garden environments. And then there are options on the outskirts of the actual town – perhaps a visit to the Sierra de San Pedro de Martir National Park or to the south, to visit El Rosario or magical Cataviña. North of town, near the abalone farming areas, is a spot that surfers love: Coyota Cals, a hostal that offers camping or small hut lodging.
