T’ai Ji, “the great ultimate of daily living”, is a physical and mental art form that celebrates the connection of oneself with the natural beauty and energy of the world around us. As a moving meditation, T’ai Ji helps the practitioner to recognize and cultivate ch’i within him/herself and in their daily life.
Master Chungliang Al Huang, developed the form of T’ai Ji that will be taught in these classes. Master Huang has choreographed
traditional T’ai Ji movements into his own “forms”. These forms are: The Ritual, The Five Moving Forces, and the Four Circles. Unlike traditional T’ai Ji practice which emphasizes the structure and martial application of T’ai Ji Chuan form, Master Huang’s creation allows the student freedom to experience the flow of energy more rapidly, and gives practical applications to incorporate into ones daily activities.
