What better place than “the city that captured the sun” to host the Annual Fiestas del Sol, Sun Festival. Since the early 1970s a considerable number of recognized artists gather every Fall in Mexicali at the Fex (Centro de Ferias y Exposiciones) for 17 days to sing and entertain the entire family. Over 400,000 people are expected to take part in the festivities. The general admission ticket will get you into  the general area and the “Isla de las Estrella” concert area.  A special ticket is required for the “Palenque” concert area. Tickets are for sale at the Hotel Araiza Inn.

The official date for this event has been announced. The Fiestas del Sol will take place September 28th through October 14th, 2012. However, events’ dates and schedules are subject to sudden change and cancellation. Please confirm with the event organizer before booking your trip.
