Separately, each dog is a loving pet;as a pack, they become a social block that is dangerous to those outside the pack.
In La Paz, Baja California Sur, Mexico the dog packs run the streets and endanger themselves as well as the human community.
Mascotas de La Paz was formed to help control the unwanted and abandoned dog and cat community by spaying and neutering these animals. We have been successful in helping hundreds of dogs and cats in the past three years.
In the year 2000 we purchased a parcel of land by the airport receiving title just this last December. Now the hard part. Applying for grants to help fund a shelter. Without continual funding to meet a budget, we would only be putting efforts towards building yet another abandoned structure in Mexico. In the meantime we are also working towards supporting two free spay and neuter clinics which we feel will at least help the situation now. ¿Que Pasa?
If you believe as we do, that all animal life is sacred and that unwanted births must be controlled, we welcome your support.
Please look at the rest of our web site and help us as much as you can. We need the help of all of you who share our vision and concern.
