Megacable Grand Prix

Formerly known as Volaris Grand Prix, this is a very popular racetrack race held yearly in La Paz regularly drawing large crowds. In 2011 over 150 vehicles signed up to participate. This year the race will take place at the short circuit Rancho ProBaja, at km 197 of the La Paz-San Pedro Highway (La Paz – Todos Santos).

The official date for this event has been announced. The Volaris Grand Prix will take place June 23rd through June 24th, 2012. However, events’ dates and schedules are subject to sudden change and cancellation. Please confirm with the event organizer before booking your trip.

Nice track, not a bad spectator's seat in the place. Built in a bowl like the pista in Santa Anita (Maybe they are all like this) From where we sat, we could see almost the whole track minus a couple of corners. Lots of porta potties, shade rentals available (we had one)

The ONLY complaint I have and it's the same for ALL other races I've been to, is parking and access. But having said that, we weren't stuck for more than 30 minutes. I've seen WAY worse.

In all, cudos for a fine job.
