My fiancee'and I moved to another town and rented an apt. on a 1 year lease but 3 months into it we have had a family crisis and have to move back to our town immediately. My fiancee never finished paying the deposit(1295$)and the landlord is taking our rent every month and putting it towards the deposit,is this legal? and what can we do to get out of the lease I also just filed a chp 7. thanks
