Does a landlord have the right to enter an apartment while the tenant is away without prior notice? I was away on business, and they entered my apartment without permission to let workers in. They claim they left notice on my door, but that was after I had left. When they entered days later, the notice was still on my door, indication I was not home. The same day my apartment was burglarized. My apartment was the only one "broken into" out of the 24 units. Is the landlord resonsible for my losses?
