Sea kayaking in Baja

Looking for a great, active, sportif sea kayaking trip that extends into the Millenium. All the tours I've looked up so far are way expensive: ($1000 and up) or don't seem to be so active. Anyone with tour recommendations? Or are they so plentiful that I can just get down to Baja and sign up in person for one in time for the Millenium?
