Fairs, Festivals and Fiestas: October Events in Baja
October is typically one of the busiest event months in Los Cabos, but due to ongoing cleanup and repair efforts following Hurricane Odile, a devastating storm that caused widespread damage throughout Baja California Sur, several of the area’s most highly anticipated upcoming events – including the Cabo Comedy Festival and Sammy Hagar’s Birthday Bash – have been postponed or moved to other locations. Big-game anglers will be heartened to hear, however, that Bisbee’s two signature October fishing tournaments – the Los Cabos Offshore and the Black & Blue – will take place as planned in Cabo San Lucas during the latter half of the month.
October also signals the return of several popular food and beverage fests around the peninsula, most notably the 14th annual Tequila Expo in Tijuana, and the 22nd annual Festival de la Langosta in the charming “lobster village” of Puerto Nuevo.
There are hundreds of local events that can be found on Baja.com. The following represent some of our favorite selections.
Event dates and details are subject to sudden change and cancellation. Please confirm with the event organizers before booking your trip.
