Fairs, Festivals and Fiestas: January Events in Baja California
The New Year starts with a bang in Baja, with several of the peninsula’s signature events on tap during the first month of 2015. SCORE kicks off the off-road racing season with the Bud Light San Felipe 250. Former R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck will host and perform at the 4th annual Todos Santos Music Festival, along with The Jayhawks, Old 97’s and Drive-By Truckers. And after last year successful inaugural outing, the artist’s colony will also host its 2nd Writer’s Worshop for aspiring bards. Meanwhile, over on the state’s beautiful East Cape, the windsports mecca of Los Barriles will crown the world’s kiteboarding champion non pareil: the magisterial sounding Lord of the Wind.
