March comes in like a lion, not in terms of weather – which is invariably sunny throughout the Baja California peninsula – but rather with a trio of highly anticipated annual events. The Festival de Cine in southern pueblo magico Todos Santos shows off some of the best classic and contemporary Mexican and Latin American films, and does so primarily at a gorgeous old dowtown theater that has been lovingly restored. San Felipe, meanwhile, braces for yet another fantastic line-up of musicians and artists at its popular Blues & Arts Fiesta. But all pale (ale, that is) to the craft brewed treasures at the yearly Ensenada Beer Fest.
There are hundreds of local events that can be found on Baja.com. The following represent some of our favorite selections.
Event dates and details are subject to sudden change and cancellation. Please confirm with the event organizers before booking your trip.
