Fairs, Festivals and Fiestas: June Events in Baja
Junes brings a bevy of summertime sporting competitions in Baja, from pro surfing and fishing and golf fundraisers in Los Cabos to rugged off-road racing and a bicycle race through the scenic wine country of Valle de Guadalupe.
The latter event, a 73 mile bike trek from Tecate to Ensenada, originated as a fun ride in the 1970s, but returns after a better than two decade hiatus as a challenging competition with four distinct hill climbs. Fun riders can still compete at their own pace, however, and all participants are welcome at the pre-race food and wine festival in Tecate, as well as at the finish line fiesta in Ensenada.
There are hundreds of local events that can be found on Baja.com. The following represent some of our favorite selections.
