There are loads of stuff to do in Baja. Sightseeing, shopping, relaxing on the beach and of course, water sports and activities. Baja offer tourists the chance to participate in water activities such as sailing, surfing, diving, snorkeling and boating. Though among the aforementioned water activities boating seems to be the most boring, nothing can be further from the truth. Boating is a fun and exciting activity that almost anyone can learn to love! And Baja has lots of boating activities, resorts, charters and what not for tourists.
Boating in Baja is open for all. Some might think that boating is only for the rich with their own yachts and catamarans, but in Baja, even if one doesn’t own a boat, they can still enjoy boating in Baja! One of these boats that can be rented by non-boat owners is the yacht Donna Jean. Owned and operated by an American family, the Donna Jean is well equipped with entertainment and child safety precautions since the owners are themselves blessed with children. So those who are worried about their children need not fear when renting the Donna Jean. Chartering the Donna Jean will grant tourists the chance to explore secluded coves, private white sand beaches, unpopulated islands and others that can be found in the sea of Cortez.
Pricing for chartering the Donna Jean is $2,800 a day or $14,000 for 7 days. This price is inclusive of gourmet meals, drinks, cocktails, full use of everything on the yacht for up to 6 guests. All you have to do is show up, since the Donna Jean will have everything provided, though a few suggestions on what to bring include a sunblock lotion, hats or caps, swimsuits and shirts, your own music via an ipod, a camera and a good book.
Those with their own yachts and boats can of course enjoy boating in Baja and enjoy all the Sea of Cortez has to offer. You can go fishing, wakeboarding, jetskiing and other watersports activities. Whether you rent or have your own boat to use, Baja is a great place to relax and unwind in the middle of the sea.
Boating in Baja is definitely not one of the most boring of activities since when you are boating, all other watersports are right under your nose, you will have access to virtually all the water activities Baja has to offer. Of course this is depending if you have the proper tools.
